Xerox Grain Texture Pack
Xerox Grain: Photocopier Texture Pack
A curated collection of authentic Xerox photocopier textures designed to add grain, depth, and tactile dimension to your designs and photographs. These high-resolution, professionally captured textures reproduce the subtle mechanical artifacts, paper fibers, and tonal irregularities unique to analog photocopying—perfect for editorial layouts, poster art, collage work, fashion imagery, and any project that benefits from a gritty, analog aesthetic.
What’s included
40 high-resolution textures (6000–8000 px long edge) in 16-bit TIFF and high-quality PNG formats
Multiple density variations: clean, light grain, medium noise, heavy grain, and streaked
Paper types: standard copier paper, recycled fiber, glossy-lamination artifacts, and thin newsprint
Edge and vignette variations: full-bleed, rough borders, ripped-edge, and ghosting
Scans with vertical streaks, toner clumping, dust speckle, halftone remnants, and faint copier drum lines
1:1 overlay and screen-ready PNGs with transparent backgrounds for quick compositing
Organized folders and preview contact sheet for fast browsing
Design uses
Add subtle texture to high-key photos to avoid flatness
Create moody, tactile editorial spreads and posters
Simulate DIY zine, photocopy collage, or vintage office documentation
Layer with blend modes (Multiply, Overlay, Soft Light, Linear Burn) to control contrast and tonal influence
Use as displacement maps for paper warping and depth effects in mockups
Technical notes
16-bit TIFFs preserve tonal range for precise color grading
PNG overlays include alpha for selective application and masking
Recommended workflow: start with opacity 10–60% and adjust blend mode; use clipping masks and layer masks to confine texture to highlights, midtones, or shadows
Compatible with Photoshop, Affinity Photo, Procreate (import via PNG/TIFF), and most compositing apps
Why this pack These textures were captured and curated to replicate the real mechanical character of office photocopying—imparting organic noise and materiality that digital filters can’t replicate. They’re subtle enough to complement refined design work, yet strong enough to define gritty, analog-inspired visuals.
Includes license for commercial use with unlimited projects (see accompanying license file for details).
